He loves her laugh. She admires his strength and leadership.
Their story began a few years ago. After meeting at their local church, they met again at a mutual friend’s barbecue. They spent the evening getting to know each other and Brad taught Khara how to skip stones in the water.
One year later, Brad proposed.
Their wedding day was like a breath of crisp air. The kind that awakens you, recharges you.
I had the pleasure of spending the morning with Khara and her girlfriends at WorldMark Condos overlooking Discovery Bay. We talked, laughed, and shared stories while the sun played peek-a-boo through the rain clouds.
We then made our way into downtown Port Townsend. Art is very special to Khara, so I wanted to make her day exceedingly memorable and incorporate the talent of local artists by taking her and Brad to a few of the beautiful galleries Port Townsend has to offer. And with the golden light pouring into the large bay windows, it was perfect.
Their ceremony was held at Fort Worden Theater. The event was festive and unique and Brad wore an infectious smile the entire time.
We then made our way next door to Fort Worden Chapel to enjoy a relaxed and fun reception. They served delicious homemade BBQ sandwiches and amazing salads, the bridesmaids and groomsmen shared toasts (which were hilarious as well as heartfelt), and the bride and groom shared a beautiful first dance.
The evening was incredible.
Their first chapter as husband and wife will be solid as stone. They will laugh together, mourn together, and bring an entire community together and I am fortunate to have been there to document the very beginning.
Cheers to you both for your life will be bold and full of color.
With love,
Jen Lee
