There’s a certain look a man has when looking at the one he loves.
I know this look very well, as I see it every day.
I happens while waiting in the crowded lines at the movie theater. It happens early in the morning before the rest of the world wakes up. It happens when a child is born. It happens when a bride walks down the aisle.
It’s the look one gives to his beloved that says, “I’ll protect you. I’ll hold you when you laugh and cry. I’ll kiss your forehead every day. I’ll love you forever.”
This is the look Robert has for Kaitlin. My heart skips a beat to know that another woman will grow old knowing this look intimately.
Their elopement was heartwarming. The vows they shared each other were received so sweetly. Robert’s breath was literally taken away. And Kaitlin, one moment she’s brought to tears, the next she’s laughing. A couple that can do this for each other, is a couple who will live fully and completely.
Their wedding was planned for later in the summer, however due to personal circumstances, they called their friends and family and gave them one week to plan a perfect wedding.
And they did. It really was perfect.
So perfect, in fact, that after the ceremony, the bride and groom danced down the aisle and kept on dancing. The birds were singing, and an eagle even made a cameo through the trees. It was amazing.
I am so fortunate to have been there to capture this beautiful union.
PS, Kaitlin's mom, Chris, made that beautiful bouquet. Oh, and those deep red rhododendrons? Yep, Chris. I think she's a flower whisperer.
